Changes in the Law

Since April 2005 CORGI have supplied a Declaration of Safety to home owners when a registered installer has installed or replaced any gas appliance in the home.

This states that the work has been carried out by a competent Registered Installer and is now a requirement of the HIP’s Home Information Pack’s required by law to sell your home!

Gas Safe Register have now taken over this service and once BR Plumbing & Heating Services has installed your new boiler, we will notify the work and you will receive your Declaration directly from the Gas Safe Register.

Energy Efficiency Condensing Boilers

In April 2005, the Government raised the performance standard for new and replacement gas fired boilers. This means, unless your property is exempt for any reason, you are now required to install a condensing boiler if you want to replace your existing boiler.
